I'm calling this little fellow "Feisty", because even though he's only four or five days old, and his eyes aren't even open, he still squirms when I try to feed him, hops around his container, and even tried to hop out of the kitchen scale when I tried to weigh him today. He's so tiny he barely budged the needle! He was brought into the center today by a lady whose cat raided the nest, and I was asked to bring him home to tend to him. Cottontails this tiny are hard to raise ... they can be very fragile. Think good thoughts for him that I can get him past the critical point, and raise him up so he can be returned safely to the wild.

Our little friend grew steadily weaker during his second day, and passed away around nine in the evening. I'm so very sad.
